This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications and services (“Apps”) developed and published by Ricardi Louw, operating under thatUXdude / dezignZA (“we”, “our”, “us”).

By using any of our Apps, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

What we collect

When you create an account in any of our Apps, we collect:

• Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
• Password — securely hashed using industry-standard encryption. We never store or see your plain-text password

When you use our Apps, you may create content such as personal entries, preferences, settings, and other data specific to the App’s functionality. This data is stored securely on our servers and is associated with your authenticated account.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your location or GPS data
• We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone unless an App explicitly requires it and you grant permission
• We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
• We do not display advertisements in our Apps
• We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties
• We do not create advertising profiles or user segments
• We do not use your data for machine learning or AI training purposes

How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Provide and maintain the App’s core functionality
• Sync your data across your devices via your authenticated account
• Send transactional emails only (account confirmation, password reset)
• Schedule local notifications on your device when applicable (computed entirely on your device — no data is sent to external servers for this purpose)

We will never send you marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional content unless you explicitly opt in to receive them.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

• Row-Level Security (RLS) at the database level, ensuring users can only access their own data
• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encryption at rest for all stored data
• Password screening against known breach databases to prevent use of compromised credentials
• Secure environment variable management for API keys and secrets

Data storage

Our Apps use Supabase (https://supabase.com) as the backend database and authentication provider. Supabase infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services and complies with SOC 2 Type II standards. Your data may be stored in data centres outside your country of residence.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Our Apps may include built-in features that allow you to delete your data directly within the App.

To request complete deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at info@dezignza.co.za. We will process your request and permanently remove all data within 30 days.

Third-party services

Our Apps may use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication (https://supabase.com/privacy)
• Expo / EAS — app build and update delivery (https://expo.dev/privacy)
• RevenueCat — subscription management, if applicable (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Apple App Store — app distribution for iOS (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy)
• Google Play Store — app distribution for Android (https://policies.google.com/privacy)

Individual Apps may use additional services. Where applicable, this will be noted within the App or in an App-specific privacy addendum.

Children’s privacy

Our Apps are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account and all associated data promptly.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Request a portable copy of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

International users

Our Apps are available internationally. By using our Apps, you consent to the transfer of your data to facilities that may be located outside your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place regardless of where data is processed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of any of our Apps after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
